I had such a great time shooting with Muroj Saadi for Zahrat Al Khalej magazine in Dubai. The clothes were impeccable! The hair was amazing and photography was on point! Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, Versace! Loved it all!! The theme was Barbiesque and the makeup was very, well pink.

Controlling that Shine!

Huda I need your help! What do you recommend for oily skin?! Sometimes my skin is super dry then after a long day of makeup, some areas get oily. And hate breakouts! What should I use? ♥

Hey baby! Yes, breakouts are the worst! Whenever I suffer from any breakouts I always avoid using any oil-based products like foundation and some concealers.

If your skin feels dry early on, you may want to adjust your facial regiment. Drier weather can call for the use of moisturizers that are a little more intense. One that I love and it seems to work on all my clients no matter what the climate and skin type is Kiehls Ultra Moisturizer. It's formula is not too thick, yet it provides intense moisture http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/face/moisturizers/ultra-facial-moisturizer.htm.

I would then switch to a mineral foundation, like MAC Mineralize foundation http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT158&PRODUCT_ID=1685, seriously love this product! I would avoid using any liquid foundations if you are prone to breakouts.

As for controlling the oil during the day, my favorite blotting sheets, and this is totally necessary if your skin starts looking shiny during the day (like mine), are the Shiseido blotting sheets. The Rosemary extract and Zinc Oxide in these blotting sheets keep your skin from looking oily again and also prevent breakoutshttp://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P173647&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=5337#moreInfo! Seriously a wonder worker!

I know it seems like a lot, but I use to struggle with breakouts pretty bad. Until I understood what worked best with my skin, I was pretty much spotted, which was NOT fun! But now I feel like I have control because I use the right products and it's liberating! Try this doll and let me know how this works!

A Little Massage Goes a Long Way

Hey Huda,
I have a question I was hoping you might know the answer to since you're a beauty expert! What method/cleaning product would you suggest for cleaning make-up brushes? And how often do you recommend we do it? Thank you!

Hey sweetie!!

I have tried just about every brush cleaner out there! My favorite one is the MAC brush cleaner, it works really well for removing all of the makeup on my brushes and it does that with little product, which is great! I do recommend cleaning them once a week. Of course if you are a makeup artist, you should clean them after every use! :)

Also, you might want to try giving them a nice wash in Shampoo and Conditioner. You can do this in place of using the brush cleaner or after for easier removal (the shampoo takes a bit longer to remove the color). ... See More

Another cool tip: Try using Olive oil as a step before shampooing. It will give your brushes extra life and make them super soft!

Quick Note: At all cost, do not let the water go past the metal part of the brush (feral). If it does, it could cause rotting of the wood!

Tried and Tested: Let's Get Cheeky!

FACE YOGA THAT WORKS

Nobody understands the value of a perfectly shaped face quite like artist do, especially makeup artist. After salivating over pictures of Kate Moss's cheek bones I decided, there had to be something I could do! Enter the wonderful world of Youtube.

I have tried this over the past 3 weeks and WOW! This seriously works! My cheeks have gotten bigger and stronger and I have noticed a change in my face shape that looks more sculpted and lean. Seriously, you HAVE to try this! The video may seem a bit funny, trust me I'm a cynic, but try it! It will cost you 2 minutes per day and is totally worth every second!

Try this: Rather than puffing from side-to-side continuously, hold breath on one side for 10 seconds then shift air to other side and repeat. I feel my cheeks working harder this way, as funny as that sounds!
