La La Lavender Lips

When celebs like Lady GaGa, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian all wear a certain something, we have to wonder is this a trend? If you are inquiring about lavender lips, we would say yes! Lavender lips have been seen all over the red carpet, celeb bashes and galas so much that we needed to gush, we are crushing lavender!

The Lips Have It!

Nothing is sexier than red rougey lips, and designers clearly agree! At Hervé Léger, United Bamboo, Karen Walker, Vivienne Tam, and Prabal Gurung shows at NYFW this past weekend, the popular designers used MAC's Lady Danger (the matte orange-red lipstick). Makeup-artist, Stevie Huynh descibes the look as a “strong lip from a minimal standpoint". This trend is sure to hit from runway to realway, take note diva!

Lip-Service

Last year may very well become known as the year of the nails, with colors ranging from fluorescent pink to mint green. 2010, however, has kicked off in high gear with lips stealing most of the attention on the runway. Dolce & Gabanna has teamed up with world-leading makeup artist, Pat McGrath, to create their new Rose Collection just in time for Vday! The muse for the collection was none other than Dolce & Gabanna’s campaign model, starlet Scarlett Johansson, who was the inspiration behind the rougey-red color. With names like, Oh Darling and Fascination, we're dying to try this now ($30, avail exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue)!

Chanel's New Lip on the Block

Earlier this week, Chanel sent models down the runway wearing a new shade of lipstick that will be part of the summer collection. The color, called Genial, is a vivid red and will be joining the Rouge Allure lip-color collection.
